Welcome to the Music Ministry of Trinity UMC, where we celebrate the power of music to inspire faith, foster community, and glorify God. Whether you’re a choir member, instrumentalist, or music lover, we invite you to join us in sharing the joy of worship through song and sound.
Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir enriches Sunday morning worship services (10:30 a.m.) from August through June with a wide variety of music ranging from classical through modern, traditional gospel, spirituals & contemporary.
Soloists or small groups provide worship in song throughout the year including during the month of July while the full choir is on vacation.
The non-auditioned group is open to adults & teenagers.
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Music Suite (room 115)
Trinity Bells
Trinity is blessed to have four octaves of handbells & three octaves of hand chimes. The group is open to all ages of ringers who can, or want to learn to, read music. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. in the Music Suite (room 115) from September through June.
The Bells enjoy performing at the YMCA’s Breakfast with Santa as part of their community outreach.
Music for Children
Trinity’s children are learning vocal technique & music reading skills as part of their choir and hand chimes experience. The group is open to all interested children and meets at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings in the chapel.
Instrumentalists
Trinity enjoys instrumental music from professional as well as amateur musicians. Let us know if you’d like to share your talents!
Christmas Cantata
On the second or third Sunday in December, the Trinity music department collaborates with professional musicians from the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and other local musicians to present a service celebrating the birth of Christ. The Sanctuary Choir, Children’s Choir, Handbell Choir and congregation all participate in this uplifting & popular event.
